SaaS directories: 28 places to list your product, and which links count

We checked every directory, review site and launch platform below on October 18, 2026: what a listing costs, the rules, and the link on a real product listing (for sites that block automated browsers, from an archived copy of their own page). 17 of 28 let you list for free. Only 7 gave every listing a followed link; 8 did for paid or top-voted launches; the rest use nofollow, a redirect, or no link at all. List where your buyers browse, not for the backlink.

The link to your site, across 28 SaaS directories
  • Followed for every listing 7
  • Followed for paid or upvoted launches 8
  • Nofollow, ugc or a redirect 8
  • No link at all 2
  • Couldn’t check 3

One real product listing opened per site. 4 free listings ask for a link or badge back to the directory first.

The list

Which SaaS directories should you submit to?

Filter by type, or show only the free ones or the ones whose link is followed. Each row names where the facts come from: the live site, or, for sites that block automated browsers, an archived copy of their own page.

Same owner as Capterra. Click-outs are buttons with no link in the page. Checked: Archived copies, Jun 17 and Oct 4, 2026.

What we saw

How do directory links and fees work?

Three patterns cover almost every site on the list: review sites sell visibility, launch sites sell a better slot, and small directories trade a listing for a link back.

Before you submit anywhere

  • A 60-character tagline and a 160-character description, written once and reused.
  • A square logo, three screenshots at 1440 px, and your pricing in one line.
  • The category and three competitors to list you next to: SaaSHub sends products with no listed competitors to the back of its queue.
  • A UTM tag on every listing link, so you can see which directory sends signups.
  • A sheet with each site, date, status and login, so the free queues don’t get lost.

Directories are one of nine SaaS link sources. See the full SaaS link building playbook.

FAQ

Questions about SaaS directories

What are the best SaaS directories to submit to?

Start with the review sites your buyers read (G2, which now also owns Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice, and TrustRadius), then one launch on Product Hunt and, for developer tools, DevHunt or Show HN. SaaSHub and AlternativeTo matter because people search “[competitor] alternatives” there. Paid directories that only promise a backlink are the last thing to spend on.

Do SaaS directory backlinks help SEO?

A few do: 7 of the 28 we checked gave every listing a followed link, and 8 more did for paid or top-voted launches. Google’s spam policies list “low-quality directory or bookmark site links” as link spam (Google spam policies), so the value of most directories is buyers and AI answers, not ranking credit.

Is listing on Capterra free?

Capterra’s and GetApp’s “get listed” buttons now lead to G2, which agreed to buy both, plus Software Advice, from Gartner in January 2026. G2’s basic profile is free; paid plans start at $299 a month.

Do Product Hunt links help SEO?

Not directly: the “Visit website” link on a Product Hunt product page is marked rel="ugc", which Google treats as a hint not to pass ranking credit. A launch brings a day of attention from early adopters and a product page that stays.

Should I pay to skip a directory’s queue?

Only when the date matters, for example to line up with a launch. Uneed’s free queue can assign a date up to 5 months out, and AlternativeTo’s free review takes “at least a few months”; paying $5 to $30 shortens that. Paying for a followed link alone is the case Google’s policy calls link spam.
